Woa! That woke me up! "The Total Siberian Eclipse" is definitely a trip, a blast into space, a "2001" experience, rocketing you straight into that eclipse. An experience not to be missed. Quite a bit of power, sonic booms, great dronings, minimalistic melody, whispering, echoes. Fun, my heart just lifts right up.
Now here is the mysterious part. Every time I tried to listen to their second track "Gliding Through the Nebula," Jamendo would crash; "Maintenance" as they would so euphemistically explain. I tried all day and this would happen so I finally downloaded the album and closed my browser to be able to listen to the rest of the tracks. I'm glad I did. This is one of the better space albums - it takes you there, it truly does - in long floating excursions. I had to keep looking around at my surroundings to make sure I was still somewhat grounded. This music would go well as a sound track to a science fiction themed movie. Very nice! But Jamendo was down for a long, long time this Halloween Eve!
